Thousands of volunteers and a small staff make the YFU program happen worldwide. Our volunteers are young and old, men and women, students and teachers, busy professionals and retirees. But one thing that ties them together is their drive and motivation for our organization.

BEING A YFU VOLUNTEER WILL OFFER YOU MANY OPPORTUNITIES SUCH AS:

• Getting to know teenagers who are adventurous, eager to learn, want to make a difference and are thinking about the future
• You will contribute to the cultural education of youth
• You have the opportunity to provide support and guidance to students and families
• Your understanding of family dynamics will increase by working with students and host families
• You will have the opportunity to share your personal stories about exchange to new students
• As a YFU volunteer you will have plenty of opportunities to meet interesting people and enhance your relationships with friends, neighbors, co-workers and associates as you enable them to experience hosting
• You will have the opportunity to give students the information you would have like to know before embarking on your exchange experience
